Professional Background and Experience
Daniel Robin is a business strategist, facilitator, speaker, trainer and coach specializing in workplace tools for collaboration, building a culture of commitment, leadership development and performance improvement. Mr. Robin is principal of Daniel Robin & Associates (ABetterWorkplace.com), an international training and consulting firm that has helped people communicate, collaborate, and learn for more than two decades.
Mr. Robin brings prior experience with high-tech, renewable resources, financial services, healthcare and natural foods/nutraceuticals companies business development, project and program management, instructional design, information systems and technology. He has published more than two hundred articles and extensive curriculum on interpersonal communication, collaborative leadership, handling interpersonal differences, negotiation, meeting management, teamwork and organizational change. Mr. Robin’s writing has been published in magazines, newspapers, and books in seven languages.
As adjunct professor of strategy and management at the Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS), Daniel leads programs on business planning, entrepreneurship, investing, collaboration and innovation for sustainability. His programs for the Graduate School of International Policy and Management (GSIPM), and Fisher International MBA program, one of the top MBA programs in the nation (was ranked 8th out of more than 700 graduate schools) are lively, informative and full of surprises – often multiple “Aha’s” for participants — and consistently receive high ratings.
Drawing on experience in business, acting, comedy writing, and public speaking, he teaches by example and emphasizes examples, practical application and just-in-time learning. Daniel brings with him a tremendous respect for people’s uniqueness. This respect provides a safe place for people to explore, learn, and acknowledge their strengths as a firm foundation for gaining additional mastery.
Daniel is also senior partner of In3 Capital Group (in3group.net), a business development and financial services firm providing impact capital to ventures and projects delivering developmental benefits. In this role, Mr. Robin has chaired conferences, given keynote addresses, conducted seminars and moderated speaker panels.
